About Us
Asian Pharmacists Association (APA) was founded in 1991 with the goal of bringing about unity of pharmacy students of various cultures and backgrounds at the College of Pharmacy at University of Illinois at Chicago. APA strives to spread Asian cultural awareness at the school as well as to provide numerous services to the community.

We provide point-of-care services such as blood glucose, blood pressure, and BMI screenings for the Asian population during MAHA Clinic, Chinatown, Argyle, and Korean Health Fairs. We strive to be a positive presence in the general public and healthcare community. APA also offers events that will prepare pharmacy students well for their future.
Our faculty advisor, Dr. Juliana Chan, will provide students with an opportunity to visit clinics where students can develop their confidence in patient interviews and pharmacy consultation. Our APA family also has fun outside the stressful school environment. We host social events such as ice skating, hotpot, Korean BBQ, etc. We also celebrate traditional Asian holidays together so that students will have a chance to learn about different Asian cultures as well as their histories.
